Building Envelope Specialists, Inc. was a critical member of the project’s design team. Tasked with documenting voids, cavities, and openings within the masonry assembly through non-destructive means, BES developed cost-saving revisions to the original envelope repair package to allow the developer to maximize construction dollars. Masonry consolidations methods such as Cellular Foam Grouting and installing helical wall ties replaced the expensive method of rebuilding large sections of the facade. By implementing these procedures, cost savings were realized by the developer as well as a reduction in the overall construction schedule.
