CAD STRUCTURAL ENGINEER 2015-2018 – TEC Associates, South Portland, Maine. Project Engineer/Manager for all phases of design and construction management from proposals to project closeout of railway and waterfront structural engineering. Inspection, rating, and design of railroad bridges and marine structures. Recent projects include the rehabilitation of a steel railroad viaduct and the replacement of a 140-foot pin-connected truss with a through-plate girder span, a three-span rail bridge replacement, and pier renovations including stringers, caps, and deck.
PROJECT ENGINEER 2013-2015 – Clyde Bergemann Power Group, Auburn, Maine. Project Engineer for engineering design and detailing of gas turbine bypass systems on power generation projects worldwide. Responsible for structural, mechanical, and I&C design and product specification. Coordination with fabricators, quality control personnel, and field service technicians to construct, erect, and commission units for operation. Combination of office work and worldwide travel.

STRUCTURAL ENGINEER 1994-2011 – Pinkham & Greer, Portland, Maine. Project Engineer/Manager for building design in industrial, commercial, educational, and residential markets. Also worked on mill buildings, manufacturing facilities, wastewater pump stations, pedestrian bridges, and retaining walls. STRUCTURAL ENGINEER 1988-1994 – Platz Associates, Auburn, Maine. Worked on civil site designs and subdivisions and all aspects of structural design for retail, manufacturing, office, and residential projects. Also provided structural design for a local precast concrete manufacturer.
STRUCTURAL ENGINEER 1988 – Structural Design Consultants. Worked on the structural steel design for the proposed Long Wharf project at DiMillo’s Wharf in Portland, Maine.
STRUCTURAL ENGINEER 1986-1987 – Riley Stoker Corporation. Worked on the structural steel design for a boiler building at a coal fired power plant.
STRUCTURAL ENGINEER 1985-1986 – United Engineers & Constructors. Field engineer responding to RFI’s related to HVAC support structures at the Seabrook, New Hampshire nuclear power plant.
STRUCTURAL ENGINEER 1980-1985 – Bechtel Power Group. Structural Design primarily for seismic upgrades at nuclear power plants. Also provided structural design for oil fired and trash to energy power plants. The work involved both office and field work.
